There’s a great quote I want to share.
“The road to success and the road to failure are almost the same.”
Assuming you know which road leads to success, it’s a no-brainer that you’ll choose that road, right?
But when people react to situations without thinking it through, they are unable to discern which road is the right one. More likely, the road they travel is determined by the stresses of the situation and it seldom leads to success.
This is what MindfulChoice declares:
Change the way you think and you can replace the impulsive character of reactive action.
When you know where a choice will take you, you can choose one that moves you closer to your goal.
“I should think every time I need to make a decision?”
Yes, you should, but practice on the small stuff.
Are you going to eat that “Chocolate Overload Cake”?
Think about it first.
Think about the end result when you eat that luscious cake.
If you’re in your teens, the end result might be a few pimples here and there – no worries.
If you’re in your 30s, the end result might be a few pounds in the belly – maybe just a small bite will do.
If you’re in your 50s, the end-result might be Diabetes. Is it really worth it?
With practice you can make this kind of decision-making second nature, letting you choose the road to success with more clarity.
If this can bring value to someone you know, please share.
